Europe Sleepwalking into Disaster: Lessons Not Learned, Futures Not Protected, and the Propaganda Narrative – Bad Putin, Good Zelenskyy?

All that show continuing advancements are the dead and wounded, according to Russian sources they are all documented, (Zelenskyy claims to keep protocol at his UN speech) Ukraine if you believe Zelenskyy has not such a problem, no numbers reported, so no casualties?

So, you wonder, American News outlets never offer Russian journalists or officials to voice an opinion, so do European, but Kyiv and the Ukraine supporters are all over the News. The Putin hate or Russia Phobia started at the moment he stepped into power, respective since WWII, it took a pause when the USSR collapsed, in the hope that western Capital could simply rob Russia of its assets? Imagine, US democrats think the IRGC are more human than Putin?

Ukraine has never offered his people to vote for entering NATO, the EU or if they want to be a neutral State, or the regional associations by culture and language. Forget the historical associations, but for the last 30 years, the west had no intentions to resolve but pushed with the Maidan (Victoria Nuland) Coup, and relentless influence for weakening Russia into division and collapse, with deliberate Elite decisions by politicians and Institutions, defend democracy but the Ukrainian people were never asked.

The Western calculation was simply, provoke until it breaks or Russia collapses. Putin said since 2002 that Ukraine and NATO are a no – no, ignored by the Elites of a Westen Hegemon, Crimea only stiffened the positions, and the rest is history. Zelenskyy was elevated by the media as a resistance hero, Western powers thought to resist a Russia military machine with money and weapons, and selling all dead Russian Soldier as victory. Damage done yes but braking Russia never. So, all we have are billion-dollar destruction, dead people and more killing and the Winners, according to some sources the future Drone War profits the most?

Ukraine winning, if you listen to some "not so convenient" voices, perhaps not, but sure a total destruction of the Ukraine versus some Oil Barels and old Airplanes on Russian soil, did not everyone predict that the Russian Army is so outdated? Sadistically, yes you can point out that Russia loses more Soldiers, but they also have a 5:1 advantage.

Julija Mendel's speech to the European Parliament should have been a continental alarm bell. Instead, it was treated as an inconvenience—an unwelcome reminder that the war Europeans cheer for from a safe distance is devouring the very nation they claim to defend. Her words were not diplomatic, not polite, not wrapped in the usual ribbons of "resilience" and "heroism" they were a warning. "Ich bin eine Tochter der Ukraine, und heute bin ich ihre Stimme." "Wie sollen 25 Millionen Ukrainer… 500 Millionen Europäer gegen 140 Millionen Russen verteidigen?"

In May 2026, Mendel appeared in a widely criticized interview with U.S. talk host Tucker Carlson, where she called Zelenskyy "a dictator" and "the greatest obstacle to peace" in Ukraine.

The Kyiv Independent, In September 2026, President Zelenskyy imposed a 10-year sanctions regime on Mendel — the only Ukrainian on the list — including asset freezes, bans on trade and capital flight, revocation of state awards, and social media restrictions within Ukraine. The move followed her interview and was supported by Ukraine's Security Service.

European Parliament Speech, On 16 September 2026, Mendel was barred from entering the European Parliament in Brussels, reportedly after Zelenskyy's sanctions, but she delivered her speech virtually. She urged a return to diplomacy and peace, saying Ukraine was "choosing a bad war instead of a bad peace". She also faced criticism for being invited to speak at a German far-right AFD event, which opposes military aid to Ukraine. (Note the AFD is NAZI because it does not support the War?

And another critical voice from Germany, Michael von der Schulenburg, former top diplomat and now a non-party member of the BSW delegation in the European Parliament, is convinced that the European Union (EU) will face an existential crisis after the end of the Ukraine war. Von der Schulenburg told World News Monitor: "In the multipolar world, the EU will not, as it had always hoped, be the third pillar alongside the US and China. It is not a great power. The EU in its current form will not survive the Ukraine war."

I. The Speech Europe Tried Not to Hear

Mendel's testimony is not propaganda. It is arithmetic. Ukraine has lost half its population since independence. Deaths outnumber births four to one. A third of Ukrainian children cannot access education. Entire regions have no doctors, no heat, no electricity. Men are hunted by conscription officers. Families flee across mountains and rivers. The economy survives only through Western transfusions. This is not "holding the line." This is collapse. Yet Europe applauds. Yet Washington applauds. Yet Zelenskyy insists the war must continue until maximalist goals are achieved goals he changes weekly, goals he knows cannot be met. Europe hears Mendel's warning and responds with more weapons, more slogans, more speeches about "values." It is the same pattern Europe followed in 1914, in 1939, in every conflict where moral certainty replaced strategic thinking. Europe is not defending Ukraine. Europe is defending its own narrative.

II. Zelenskyy's Path: Total Destruction Disguised as Resolve

Zelenskyy entered office promising peace. He now governs through war. He promised diplomacy. He now rejects every diplomatic channel offered. He promised to kneel before Putin if it meant saving Ukrainian lives. He now demands conditions he knows cannot be met. He promised to step aside if he could not end the war. He now extends the war indefinitely. This is not leadership. This is political survival disguised as national survival. Mendel's speech makes clear: Zelenskyy has chosen escalation as his governing strategy. He has chosen maximalist demands as his political shield. He has chosen the destruction of Ukraine as the price of maintaining his own power. Ukraine is not being saved. Ukraine is being sacrificed.

III. Europe's Hallucination: "This Time We Will Get Them"

Europe's political class has convinced itself that history can be rewritten through willpower. Germany is rearming. Poland is mobilizing. The Baltics are digging trenches. Washington is preaching resolve. And the refrain is always the same:

Russia is bad. Ukraine must hold. This time we will get them.

This is not strategy. It is nostalgia. It is the same delusion that drove Napoleon back from Elba, convinced he could rewrite Europe's destiny. It is the same delusion that kept Hitler believing in victory until the bunker ceiling collapsed. It is the same delusion that has led Europe into catastrophe every time it has mistaken conviction for capability. Europe is not preparing for victory. Europe is preparing for repetition.

IV. The Demographic Truth Europe Refuses to Face

The West speaks of Ukraine as if it were a stable nation with infinite endurance. Mendel's speech destroys that fantasy:

• Ukraine loses 600,000 people a year.
• Half the population is elderly.
• Children cannot read.
• Families cannot heat up their homes.
• The economy is dead except for weapons production.
• The debt is 110% of GDP.
• The country survives only through Western money.

This is not a nation that can fight a long war. This is a nation that cannot survive a long war. Europe's strategy requires Ukraine to endure the impossible. Ukraine's reality makes endurance impossible.

V. Germany's Rearmament: A Warning, not a Solution

Europe celebrates Germany's rearmament as proof of resolve. History treats German rearmament as a prelude. Germany is not rearming because Ukraine is winning. Germany is rearming because Ukraine is losing—and Berlin knows the frontier will not hold forever. Europe is not preparing to save Ukraine. Europe is preparing for what happens after Ukraine falls. This is not solidarity. It is triage.

VI. The Rhetorical Question Europe Cannot Answer

And here lies the question Europe refuses to confront:

Was it ever a good strategy to push the NATO narrative without asking the people?

Was it wise to declare Ukraine "will become a member" in 2008 without a referendum? Was it democratic to reshape Ukraine's future without consulting Ukrainians? Was it responsible to expand NATO eastward while ignoring the social, political, and military consequences? Europe speaks endlessly of democracy. Yet Europe never asked the Ukrainian people whether they wanted to be the frontline of a geopolitical crusade. The West did not ask. Zelenskyy did not ask. NATO did not ask. And now Ukraine pays the price for a decision it never made.

VII. The West's Moral Ledger: Who Pays the Price

The West pays money. Ukraine pays blood. This is why the Western narrative is so stubborn: It is easy to demand victory when someone else is dying for it. Ukraine is paying with:

• demographic collapse,
• economic implosion,
• political strain,
• societal breakdown,
• generational trauma

The West is paying with:

• budget allocations,
• political speeches,
• moral certainty

This is not partnership. It is proxy warfare dressed up as solidarity.

VIII. Europe's Sleepwalk: The Disaster Ahead

Europe is sleepwalking into a disaster because it refuses to confront three truths:

• Ukraine cannot win a long war. The numbers make victory impossible.
• Russia cannot be destroyed. The size, resources, and industrial base make collapse unlikely.
• Europe cannot militarize its way to stability. German rearmament without diplomacy is a historical warning, not a solution.

Europe is repeating the same mistakes that led to its darkest chapters:

• moral absolutism
• strategic denial
• escalation without endgame
• Belief in inevitable victory
• refusal to negotiate until it is too late

The continent is marching toward a conflict it cannot control, cannot contain, and cannot win. Here a doomsday scenario.

IX. The Final Verdict: Lessons Not Learned

Julija Mendel's speech is not pro-Russian. It is pro-reality.

Europe refuses to hear it because reality threatens the narrative. Zelenskyy refuses to hear it because reality threatens his power. Washington refuses to hear it because reality threatens its strategy.

But reality does not negotiate. Reality does not bend to rhetoric. Reality does not care about narratives.

Europe is sleepwalking into disaster. Ukraine is being led toward total destruction. History is repeating itself with terrifying precision.

And unless Europe wakes up—now, not later—the continent will once again learn the lesson it has spent centuries trying to forget:

Conviction is not capability. Escalation is not strategy. And ignoring reality is the fastest path to ruin.

Perhaps, Boris Johnson may go down a War Criminal, (he obviously denies) for encouraging Ukraine to move on? And wonder why the US press and War Mongers still think Trump is a traitor, perhaps losing Crimea and Donbass would have been a blessing for the World and the occupants of the territories. We cry about Gaza and Palestine for autonomy, perhaps not everyone is equal? And NATO, can place a million Soldiers in Poland, and defend neutrality in Ukraine, and stop the march to Germany? So another point to be suspicious about the German War cry, they started WWI and WWII perhaps as retaliation, so why not WWIII?

Need more proof of Zelenskyy's loneliness, listen to his Speech at the UN, no one likes a loser, and begging from the not haves, Europe is out of Money and the US out of ammunition?

A thousand drones may fill the news cycle and thrill the war-mongers, but the actual damage is about the same as burning a newspaper in a Finnish forest, it may rip a hole?

"And before anyone repeats the propaganda slogan of 'Ukraine chose the West,' let us state the one fact that collapses the entire narrative: the NATO question was never put before the Ukrainian people — not once, not ever." Opinion polls come up in 2026, as justification.
