Global Diplomacy and Religious Conflicts in the Middle East
Diplomacy, or the anti-diplomatic EU regiment , resembles the US Democrats: hopeless, powerless, but full of rhetoric and lawfare.
What emerges is not influence but illusion—driven by theatrical posturing, improvised authority, and leaders performing roles the Treaties never defined. This apparatus speaks for a Union it cannot command, confronts adversaries it cannot deter, and preaches values it fails to apply—notably at home. The result is a simulation of geopolitics without the means to shape it. Nowhere is this more evident than in Kaja Kallas. As EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, she has, within months, inverted the role she was appointed to uphold—projecting the bloc onto the global stage with confrontational positions that undermine the very interests she is meant to defend.
As part of the sanctions against Russia, European “cult” culture ministers and their cronies boycotted classical music stars. Once blacklisted, they are starting to re-emerge. Common sense suggests art and sports have nothing to do with war. Perhaps Zelensky, once he loses the presidency, can replace Stephen Colbert at CBS—when he is elected president as a comedian —something Democrats would enjoy.
Some food for thought: what do you know about the Russian political system , and do you believe that after Putin, Russia will destabilize into its provinces ? Are oligarchs a global phenomenon? Perhaps the EU, US, and China are not far from chaos. Before concluding anything, perhaps read Leon Trotsky.
The new Pope, what a story, is calling for peace, the father of love. We have the G7, G20, BRICS, the UN, WEF—you name it—but do we have a religious G-assembly asking its members not to fight? Perhaps the CIA and KGB could be guest speakers, and the non-religious people—well, they are all pacifists anyhow, kind of—unless they belong to an underground army , call it the Soros Soldiers. Here’s a start , but not all faiths participate. WCC member churches can be found in all regions of the world and include most of the world’s. Here’s a glimpse at some of the religious wars. Atheists are a sort of religious group as well. Perhaps AI can resolve this and make us all humanists —but then you still have the moralists (one concerned with regulating the morals of others). Maybe we should sing the Rolling Stones song "You Can’t Always Get What You Want". But that needs some thought—and yes, you can’t always get what you want. Maybe a Stones concert for Putin and Zelensky, but then which part can you not get? No NATO for peace and Crimea for all? Perhaps we should forget morals and be more tolerant, as a start.
Israel’s fight in Gaza: self-defense or genocide ? It’s still a religious fight: Jesus against Muhammad. One side stopped fighting around 1712 , mostly wars among Romans, Lutherans, Zwinglians, and Calvinists. Here’s a list of Islamic wars in the old days, with the ever-ongoing conflict in Gaza. Perhaps the latest development— arming Palestinians to fight Hamas — here’s the Jerusalem version —might have some traction, as long as we can get Iran to cool down on their nuclear ambitions. But the real evil may be here ?
China, a superpower in motion, dynasties live long unless they collapse. The Qing dynasty ended, but the debate about how to achieve these two national goals did not. The Chinese Communist Party always believed that forging a militarily strong and economically secure China was one of its fundamental objectives. By the 1990s, the CCP wondered whether it should follow the model of Singapore: a country that won global admiration while producing stable governance, a balance between consensus and coercion, and the ostensible adherence to what its longtime leader Lee Kuan Yew called the “Asian values” of deference to authority and communitarianism. Or there will be some fight, as pacifist Japan seems to have forgotten all of 1945.
It’s a sad story how interest groups and media use a girl who needed psychiatric help for their own purposes and self-interest. Yes, she volunteered out of conviction, but she was also a prisoner of her condition. Shame on the international community, NGOs, and her parents for sacrificing a person for their own failures, making their stories in science and not in the boulevard press. Where was the law and the medical support groups, with her in spirit, as a useful toy?
But the yacht and its crew were not hijacked, but pushed into Israeli waters by the Israeli navy, as they had announced, where the ship is now anchored in the port. All passengers are "safe and unharmed," said a spokesman for the Israeli Foreign Ministry. They should return to their home countries. Before that, they were provided with sandwiches and water. "The tiny amount of relief supplies on the yacht that were not used up by the 'celebrities' will now be brought to the Gaza Strip through real aid channels," it continued. And some Israeli joker has previously given the boat the name "selfie yacht," a term that has been whizzing across the world's oceans ever since.
