Selective Outrage: From Greenland to ICE

The media will sanitize every excess

The press has become the enforcement arm of the narrative. Trump's initiatives are declared failures before they begin. Democratic failures are reframed as noble attempts. Scandals on the left are "allegations." Scandals on the right are "proof."

Any initiative Trump pursues — good, bad, or indifferent — is torpedoed by the liberals and the liberal press. They don't offer solutions; they simply point out flaws or declare work in progress a failure. And it looks like peace for them is an awful word , willing to even bring war to the home front.

The formula is simple: when the left breaks something, it's a misunderstanding. When the right fixes something, it's cruelty.

Foreign policy is trapped in the same ideological filter

Perhaps the American people have to think hard. The hegemon may, under Trump, transition into a diplomatic, peace-oriented mission rather than the war mongers' opinion, as expressed by Anne Applebaum , or the delegations that constantly fuel anti-Trump missions in the name of diplomacy.

The same people want Ukraine to fight to defeat Russia but block an effort to shield the US from Russian rockets. They still believe the Ukrainians will destroy Russia — with money. There are most likely three superpowers emerging. It was two until 1990; unfortunately, the US was unable or willing to build China to this point while focusing on Russia.

Trump signals a shift toward diplomacy and de-escalation. Critics call it weakness. Yet the same voices cheer for endless proxy wars, limitless spending, and the fantasy that Ukraine will "defeat Russia" through sheer American funding. They oppose Trump not because his approach is reckless, but because it threatens the worldview they've built careers defending.

Selective outrage reveals the game

Denmark forcibly inserted IUDs into Greenlandic girls — some as young as twelve — to control population growth. A real human-rights atrocity. Did Danes take to the streets when Denmark mutilated the population in Greenland to save money? In the Sixties and Seventies, thousands of Greenlandic women and girls, some as young as 12, were fitted with intrauterine devices (IUDs), without their knowledge or consent. The policy was an attempt to slow down population growth in Greenland (which at the time had one of the highest birth rates in the world) and therefore lessen the potential financial burden on Denmark; it's thought to have impacted around half of the island's women of childbearing age between 1966 and 1970.

But when Trump floated the idea of purchasing Greenland — a historically normal diplomatic concept — he was mocked as unserious. The people who ignored actual abuses suddenly discovered their moral compass. This isn't about ethics. It's about who is allowed to be criticized.

The Art of the Deal produces winners. In the Greenland case , Trump is called the loser while all others win? Litigate, not compromise. Liberals would put the Golden Dome on a floating raft or dismiss it as a hoax.

The shadow president

The shadow president of the US , traveling to the WEF — Newsom wants Europe to fight a war against the US over Europe. He urges the EU to unite against Trump. Is he running a global election campaign, assuming he wins the Democratic nomination? Or did he forget that the New Green Deal is no longer a topic at the WEF? Maybe he should have led a panel on how to avoid a high-speed train disaster. Yes, he inherited it — but has it improved?

ICE enforcement: the narrative vs. the facts

Democrats claim the homicide rate is down because of their protesting of ICE. Or has ICE removed the worst of the worst agitators and criminals? Another win-win for the left: blame Trump for arresting a 5-year-old while claiming success for their ANTIFA stand.

Here's the other side — a horrific smear. Why did the father run if everything was legal ? Just hand law enforcement the phone number of your attorney.

ICE did NOT target, arrest a child or use a child as "bait." ICE law enforcement officers were the only people primarily concerned with the welfare of this child. The father and alleged mother abandoned the child. Agitators scared the child.

And where is the fraud investigation in Minnesota? It's all allegations — perhaps all Minnesota has to do is show the books.
