Edited Epstein Murdoch Commentary

The Epstein saga and the Murdoch twist lets some people hope that it spells the end for Trump over a birthday card that also included Bill Clinton. The WSJ reported that a handwritten note from Trump was included in a birthday book, and Trump sues. So why is it a book, and only one person gets the attention? And what is the proof behind the picture that Trump is engaged in any of Epstein's actions? It might work like this. The Wall Street Journal breaks a story that's so shocking it begins to chip away at MAGA's unquestioning loyalty of Trump. This process is, of course, willingly aided by the rest of the media. The resulting groundswell eventually allows Fox News and the Post to tentatively follow their audiences into questioning, and then perhaps criticizing, Trump.

Yes, we are still waiting for the release of the documents, but more astonishingly, we are waiting on Gloria Allred , the extortionist, to sue the Epstein estate in a class action for all the abusers of the young women—a great activity for the MeToo movement. No one seems to care about the thousand victims, and no one has accused Trump. Some have downplayed the impact of the #MeToo movement and questioned its impact. But the shift in public discourse around the Epstein case shows the subtle but profound way our culture has changed. Today, the pressure is rightly placed on those in power—those who enabled abuse or participated in it—and not on the survivors. That is real progress. We have so much more work to do, but let's also acknowledge this progress as well. Is it at the end just another political play, or would the release of the papers be justification for the victims' names as well, to find closure? Ms. Allred claims the victims want the truth—20 of the thousands. They should know the names of the abusers and go public for a start. Unlike E. Jean Carroll, no one has taken to the seat yet, and at least she was old enough to say "no" , but she chose the Democrats for fame and money. It is certainly a hard case to tie the Russia Gate as a Trump grudge. The WSJ certainly has a bigger trial at hand, or another rhetorical coup by the Trump haters.

Improving early childhood rather than lowering the college standard seems a reasonable cause, but as with many other things, merit has its limits in politics, as if good grades in high school make you stupid in college. On one side, colleges have argued that considering students' life experiences — including their races — creates diverse student bodies that are beneficial to everyone and corrects for decades of discrimination. But a conservative movement has questioned the use of such subjective criteria in admissions, arguing that the practice has led to discrimination against white and Asian students. And why should undocumented students get better treatment than the American "poor" ? The complaint states that federal policy bars undocumented immigrants from receiving "tuition benefits denied to out-of-state U.S. citizens," citing Trump's executive orders that instructed agencies to block such practices.

The Democratic governors to the rescue for the 2028 presidential election. Since no one out of the base seems to have a chance of winning, perhaps the authoritarian states—CA, MA, or IL—are a fit for the democratic socialist , masters in resistance and gerrymandering. Perhaps Unify America can do a unification, at least the democratic socialists. Not sure they understand the term "working class people," nor should Democracy Now advocate being democratic—they misunderstand that activism is not democratic.

Why should self-driving cars come with a label —the driver is still responsible for any action, including driving? I mean, you have a legal page-long disclaimer on your kid's car seat or a golf cart. So just another legal bonanza for lawyers—all of $240 million? But Schreiber said Tesla was at fault, nonetheless. He said Tesla allowed drivers to act recklessly by not disengaging the Autopilot as soon as they begin to show signs of distraction and by allowing them to use the system on smaller roads that it was not designed for, like the one McGee was driving on. "I trusted the technology too much," said McGee at one point in his testimony. "I believed that if the car saw something in front of it, it would provide a warning and apply the brakes." Rewarding stupid—perhaps the driver should be in jail instead, driving while on the cell phone. But wait—when AI will hit the legal bonanza , perhaps 3 million lawyers will not be enough, or intellectual property is all and forever open to all. Bernie would certainly like that, but would it make him a capitalist, or a resolution-oriented politics ? Well, fake signatures come to mind. Here are some thoughts from India.

Putin and Trump take another approach to resolve the war in Ukraine, and the EU and Zelensky are hard at work again to torpedo the talks and keep up the fight. What a loss for the warmongers if one day the US and Russia would get along, doing business and not being moralist to convert so-called communists into capitalists—just ask New York, are we calling a war as well? Well, elections in Ukraine for a new president, if they rather be neutral or a NATO puppet, and regional if they want to be autonomous regions and choose their affiliation? That would be called democracy, with the CIA and KGB. Well, Politico may as well disclose the connections. At the end, only two solutions are feasible: total destruction of Ukraine, or Ukraine makes concessions. The war against Europe are simply words and dreams —Europe has no fighters, and for what? The natural resources are all in Russia. Reason or speculation, but here are some interesting thoughts any third-grader could draw up. All of the scenarios were reality in 2022—Boris and Joe disagreed.

Trump's tariffs —too early to conclude, but in a first summary, perhaps slightly positive. Here are some interesting views from the Asia Times: US–EU and the hurt for the US —all valid points made by the liberals. However, look at the role of the WTO— this should be their job. And did the EU really capitulate or in a victim role accept the unavoidable—fair and free trade?

Political judges, political lawyers, and reception committees disguised as activists. Alligator Alcatraz expansion stopped for environmental reasons. Joe Biden—why would he need a lawyer from the Jan 6 committee ? And the never-ending environmentalists traveling around the globe to protest Trump ? How was the Nobel Prize awarded to President Obama as contribution to wars and the master of the deep state ? Perhaps the CIA/FBI made the recommendation.
