October 2025 - Israel, Charlie Kirk, Peter Thiel, and Venezuela: Global Politics from Gaza to the Nobel Peace Prize

Charlie Kirk's Questions on Netanyahu: Here's a perspective: the questions Charlie Kirk posed to Benjamin Netanyahu (translate) serve as a powerful remembrance. How could October 7 have happened? Perhaps such a tragedy was necessary to arrive at a potential solution for lasting peace. Sometimes it takes exhaustion and the specter of extinction for people to realize the value of existence. The recently murdered political activist Charlie Kirk was one of the most determined supporters of Israel in the USA. At the university events that made him famous, he always responded to critical questions about the Jewish state with a clear defense—without compromise. But two questions were on his mind, as Newsweek recently noted. How was it possible that Hamas was able to invade Israel's south with thousands of terrorists on October 7, 2023, massacring over 1200 people, torturing hundreds, raping them, injuring several thousand and abducting 251 to the Gaza Strip—without Israel's intelligence services, which are among the best in the world, knowing about these plans? And how could it be that the terrorists raged for hours without Israel's army intervening?

Peter Thiel on the Antichrist: The concept of the Antichrist remains central to Peter Thiel's worldview—a Q&A (translate) explores this theme. Weltwoche: The Antichrist: This topic is always encountered in your work. What do you mean by that, what concrete significance does it have today? What is the essence?

Thiel: There is a theological and a political approach. The Antichrist is a kind of final and universal tyrant in the world-wide, totalitarian unitary state. Some saw Stalin as this tyrant who could unite the world. They even wished for that. Even in the West, more than a few were inclined towards this vision of the world state.

European Tariffs on China: Remember when Trump's tariffs were condemned? Now Europe implements its own protectionist measures with tariffs on Chinese steel to protect their industries. The hypocrisy is striking, though perhaps some politicians simply have a longer learning curve. The European Commission has unveiled sweeping measures to shield the EU's struggling steel industry from a flood of overcapacity that it says is emanating from China, slashing tariff-free quotas by nearly half and doubling duties on excess shipments to 50 per cent.

Venezuela and US Foreign Policy: Venezuela operates under a dictatorship, and yes, the current president is a thug. Drug trafficking is real, crime runs rampant and has been exported to the United States, and Maduro stands willing to apply maximum defense against any outside intervention. However, history provides crucial context—a toxic combination of oil and the CIA has caused extensive havoc, making this agency perhaps history's most prolific election interference organization. The George W. Bush administration quickly acknowledged the Carmona government, contrasting sharply with other Latin American nations' condemnation. Subsequent investigative reports and declassified documents revealed senior U.S. officials had foreknowledge of the plot and had met with coup plotters in preceding months. Just ask Victoria Nuland. Victoria Nuland was the "mastermind" behind the 22nd of February 2014, "regime change" in Ukraine. She planned to topple Yanukovych's democratically elected government while claiming that the coup was rather a victory for "freedom." She was a driving force behind the uprising and assisted in selecting the post-revolution authorities. The hideous nature of the events, especially the crucial role played by neo-Nazis and other ultra-nationalists from the Right Sector was methodically sanitized to sell the neocon(servatism)-driven operation to domestic and world audiences. They had to don white hats, not brown shirts, for the US-sponsored propaganda campaign to succeed. She represents one of the old guard's hegemonic power brokers, yet compare her tactics to Pritzker's defense of crime to maintain fear-based control over populations—similar to Maduro's strategy. Will diplomacy shape our future, or must we learn from the Stalwarts and half-breeds ? Perhaps international relations offer better prospects than domestic politics. Hegemony or diplomacy—these are the defining questions for the near future.

The Politics of Hate: Hate (here explored in biblical context) remains an ancient recipe for controlling the masses (translate). Liberation of the press through elite control shapes the narrative—from "deplorables" to countless other dehumanizing labels. German politics is waging war against dissent with the "firewall" against the AfD, with the new criminal offence of "hate speech" and with regulatory threats against unwelcome social media. Since no one knows where "hate speech" begins, we are dealing with a despotic measure that gives the impression that anything that does not conform to the government line is treated as "right-wing extremist." We're in good hands when the Nobel Peace Committee is led by someone who openly despises Trump. President Trump has repeatedly stated that he should receive the Nobel Peace Prize, claiming credit for stopping "eight wars" in eight months. He also criticized the choice of former President Barack Obama for the Peace Prize nine months into his first term as US president. "He got a prize for doing nothing... He got elected, and they gave it to Obama for doing absolutely nothing but destroying our country... Obama was not a good president," Trump said on Thursday (local time). Despite these assertions, the Nobel Committee chose Machado for her courage and her role in defending democratic values in Venezuela. Watch Obama's victory speech and pay close attention to his body language.

The Democratic Party Shutdown Strategy: We've got ANTIFA and Weathermen in Congress, and a shutdown to please the 5%—is that a winning strategy? Perhaps a clear indication that the Democratic Party no longer exists. It is a Kimmel–Colbert–Springsteen sound-setting orchestra, with tunes from Rosie, Joy Reid, The View and Psaki, and MSNBC and other leftist commentators. Schumer and Jeffries are no longer relevant; the squad rule is on. Thank you, Bernie and Soros, but the shutdown will hopefully silence all government waste, a shutdown DOGE? If we miss you, we let you know, but for now, it is the Republicans in favor 70:30. Here's an explainer: fight, fight, fight against Trump—the only reasoning the Democrats offer these days. We need to elect politicians, not litigators and Soros activists. Axios has reported throughout the year how Hill Democrats have been besieged by an increasingly angry base demanding that they " fight harder " and "do something" about Trump. – In February, shortly after President Trump's inauguration, it was voters blowing up Democrats' phone lines with demands to "fight back" against DOGE. – In March, it was angry crowds gathered at town halls to chew Democrats out for purportedly not doing enough to resist Trump, which some lawmakers compared to the rise of the Tea Party. – By July, Democratic lawmakers were expressing concerns about their base demanding they put themselves in harm's way to draw attention to the administration's use of physical force. But it looks like the Democrats are united, with presidential candidates proposing and supporting the radical stance. Just wonder: Gavin Newsom urged Democrats to stand firm amid the government shutdown Friday, saying, "You lose leverage, you lose this country." ANTIFA leverage? The shutdown —essential and non-essential—or why are there government non-essential functions? Are the SPLC (no leftists), ACLU, ANTIFA , and the Redneck Revolt all part of non-essential feeding grounds? And what about academia ? Or are we at the start of a John Brown revolution, with unidentified actors/founders ? Portland, Oregon: Portland Oregon —why is ICE and the Trump administration so focused on Portland? It looks like an Eldorado to live in the state and city , but also a hotspot of the rebellion, because the elite rulers use it to provide what? A one-party state for many years . Oregon hasn't always had a lack of affordable housing, costly and poor-performing public schools, high taxes and heavy regulations on businesses, rampant drug addiction and homeless campers everywhere. Whom do you blame for all of this? Perhaps because people move there to live a hippy life—I mean a happy life—or the political mix. The people in rural areas don't care if the cities get waxed by anti-fascists. A 2008 analysis by political statistician Nate Silver on states' political ideology noted that the state's conservatives were the most conservative of any state (more so than Utah or Tennessee) and that the state's liberals were more liberal than any state (more so than Vermont or D.C.). For now, a Trump judge ruled in favor of ANTIFA . Let the demolition go on—happy winter. 'Justice has been served': Gov. Tina Kotek, others praise judge's ruling blocking troops to Portland. FBI Political Affiliations: Is the FBI politically Republican-charged? There is some social media claim that since the 1950s, no Democrat was leading the FBI. If you are counting James Comey, Robert Mueller, and Christopher Wray as Republicans, you perhaps need to note there is a litany of Trump haters in the Republican Party. But for good measure, it is called the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and nominations are approved by Congress and controlled by the AG and the US intelligence committee. Wonder why this is a question when Trump is president? Looks to me, with 90% lawyers on committees, like a straightforward legal matter. And shifting priorities —left and right have extreme activism . It is just a question of who you ask, so why not check them both accurately? But mental sickness is not part of an ideology—unless some publishers are politically biased.
