Hegemony, Wars & the American Interest
Hegemon or Democracies: Hegemon, the one Country PowerCenter and Peacekeeper, in a world that is now armed to its teeth, and once sleepers are now at level with the former and potentially current hegemon? What if one hegemon is democratic and the other autocratic / communist , or in NY terms democratic socialists? Do we really need to go back to the Pope and Luther, to argue about the sacraments as a life and death issue?
Contextual Note: In short: Luther wanted to strip away human authority and return to Scripture alone, while the Pope defended the Church's layered authority and sacramental system. That fundamental disagreement made reconciliation impossible and permanently split Christianity.
At the end it is national interests, and is that better fought a hegemon than a democracy, even in this world you need friends and that is best served with cooperation, and system change, leave it to the people, that is what diplomats are for?
Wars: What is the US national interest in Ukraine, NATO expansion, or like Hitlers idea of expulsion of communism, just wait until NATO can deploy its Missiles at the Russian Border? Why is the US involved in the Hamas War, when we have people in this country waving Hamas (Palestinian Flags) at Christmas, pardon, inclusive Winter observance , but no worries, the left will keep Wars floating, Minnesota directing monies to terrorists and Ukraine corruption makes sure that War monies are democratically distributed, well, like Ursula von der Leyen and her Covid vaccine money , well, just Tax the Russian assets to pay for the continuation of the Ukraine – Russia spat, and Hamas, it still has plenty of sympathizers , including diplomats, if you wonder, one of the tasks of diplomats were diplomacy, as this reporter correctly worries that diplomacy is now in the hands of dealmakers , kind of defeats the purpose of diplomatic people?
Economy: Tariffs, the WTO, the global body to offer fair and free trade, while the autocratic ruled China manipulates global trade with its subsidized Industries and the EU has taxes on everything exported, to their advantages, so why are the resisters resist tariffs, to keep the cost down, export American jobs and to be competitive engage cheap (immigrants) labor for agriculture, food processing and hospitality, the 4% unemployed do not qualify for those jobs, well here is some advice, perhaps a Fentanyl work program, to find purpose, rather than free needles?
